Statistics: Russia’s gold output rises 6%% on year in May

MOSCOW, Jun 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s production of finished, semi-finished, and powdered gold rose 6% on the year and 21.5% on the month in May, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Monday.

In January–May, gold production increased 2.9% on the year.

Previously, absolute figures on production of non-ferrous metals were a state secret. The figures are no longer classified, but the government does not publish them.
